About Sasha

Aleksandr “Sasha” Litvinov

Sasha is an ardent trial lawyer, advisor, and problem solver. Prior to launching Litvinov Law PLLC, he spent two years with a premier plaintiffs’ class action firm, and over a decade advising and defending corporations with a primary focus on employment litigation and compliance. Sasha has worked at some of the world’s largest corporate law firms and employment boutiques, including Littler Mendelson, Fisher Phillips, Hogan Lovells, and Dentons, and he has represented industry giants such as Amazon, FedEx, Uber, Kroger, and Humana. After years in the trenches with corporations and their insurance adjusters, he developed a deep understanding of their litigation strategies and how they value claims.

Today, Sasha uses that experience to hold corporations accountable for wrongdoing. He represents workers and consumers whose rights have been violated, on both an individual and class basis. He also counsels and represents small businesses when employment challenges or business disputes arise. As a refugee from Ukraine who came to the U.S. in 1994, a former minimum-wage restaurant cook, and an all-around empath, Sasha finds deep fulfillment in advocating for America’s working class and for small business owners who care about the law and their employees.

Sasha has litigated harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims, wage and hour claims, employment-related torts, and contract claims. He has handled administrative actions before the EEOC, state civil rights agencies, and state labor departments, and he enjoys working on administrative and judicial appeals. His experience includes issues arising under the ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, FCRA, WARN Act, and OSHA, as well as their state equivalents and reductions in force. He also has experience with workplace drug testing, background checks, compensation, independent contractor misclassification, joint employer issues, and restrictive covenants such as non-competes and non-disclosure agreements. On the consumer side, Sasha handles false advertising claims involving consumer products and spam call claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Sasha grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, attending Meyzeek Middle School and duPont Manual High School. By the time he graduated college, he had worked in retail, manufacturing and warehousing, restaurants, and a psychiatric hospital. He understands the challenges working Americans face, especially those for whom English is not a first language and those with disabilities who need reasonable accommodations to thrive at work.

In law school, Sasha was a Presidential Merit Scholar and a member of The George Washington University International Law Review, Moot Court Board, and Mock Trial Board. He received the Best Brief Award for his 2L brief on whether Title VII protects individuals from discrimination based on gender identity. While at GW, he also published a journal article on European data privacy law and emerging internet technology. Before law school, Sasha earned an undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Louisville, where he developed a love for mathematics and the scientific method, along with critical thinking skills that have served him well throughout his legal career.

Sasha shares his life with his wife, their toddler, and two dogs. When he’s not fighting for workers’ and consumer rights, he enjoys cooking dishes from cultures around the world, riding bicycles, and playing covers across all genres on drums and guitar.
