Fired or disciplined unfairly?

Kentucky and Indiana are at-will states, but that doesn’t mean an employer can fire you for any reason. It’s illegal to fire or punish an employee for reporting harassment or discrimination, complaining about unpaid wages, taking protected medical leave, filing a workers’ compensation claim, or reporting safety violations or illegal conduct.

Retaliation claims are often stronger than the complaint that started them. Timing, documents, and witness accounts matter, so it helps to talk to a lawyer early. Some deadlines are short.
