Unpaid wages and overtime
Federal law (the FLSA) and Kentucky’s wage and hour laws require most employers to pay at least minimum wage, pay overtime for hours over 40 in a workweek, and pay final wages on time. When they don’t, you may be owed the unpaid amount plus an equal amount in damages, along with attorney’s fees.
Common violations the firm handles
Unpaid overtime, including for workers wrongly labeled “salaried” or “exempt”
Off-the-clock work: pre-shift duties, security screenings, working through lunch
Independent contractor misclassification
Unlawful tip pooling or deductions from pay
Late or missing final paychecks
If coworkers were shorted the same way, the case may proceed as an FLSA collective or class action. Litvinov Law is prepared to take on these cases; Sasha has a track record of combatting wage theft on a collective or class basis. See Class Actions.
